This is a darling little diner. It is family owned and run. Our waitresses husband was running the grill, her dad was behind the counter as well and just very jovial and welcoming atmosphere. There is oldies memorabilia all over from Coca cola to 80's lighted canvases on the wall. Today they had 80's music on the television and sound system and personally I would have preferred they not play the really bad cheap music that is knock offs when in this day and age they could stream an 80s music channel so that you hear the originals. I know that's a small gripe but it was really annoying. Also the booths are very tiny and for larger people like myself and my husband it was a tight fit.
Onto the service and food. We were welcomed and told to sit wherever we liked. We were quickly re-welcomed by our waitress who took our drink order and brought over our menus. She was johnny on the spot with the drinks and they never went dry - kudos! (I left my phone in the car so I failed miserably at getting photos but it is a decent sized menu and we felt the prices were very good. Jason ordered the western omelette, Texas toast and a side of biscuits and gravy. He decided on the full order of biscuits and gravy and which is one and a half biscuit. I ordered a ham and cheese omelette, Texas toast, home fries and a side of grits to share.
The omelettes are not fluffy. They are very flat and did not have much filling at all. Mine was greasy and the home fries were watery and had no flavor. The grits were good. Cooked well and had a decent flavor. Jason liked his omelette though agreed it was a bit on the greasy side. He LOVED his biscuits and gravy. They were really good but a bit spicy for me. I don't like the pepper to hit me in the face and that one was really peppery. I think next time I would like to try one of their waffles or their pancakes. I def want to give them another try. I liked their service and would like to try some of their other options. Jason felt the same way and we plan to come back and maybe try other items or come at a different time all together. I will report back at that time. And I wont forget the camera! -

Waaaaay overpriced. Waaaaaay too skimpy portions.
Most meager steak ometelet I ever had the misfortune to order. Steak was thin enough to be a Steak'Um. Ordering medium rare was a JOKE. On me. Coffee just as weak as most places. No real butter. No idea what was being passed for coffee cream.
Will never return. -

I'm sure I will never be back. I stopped here with my 2 sons we all had breakfast plates. My youngest son would not eat the fatty bacon. I ordered steak and eggs my steak was a thin breakfast steak that was supposed to be 4oz with 2oz of fat. Atmosphere was a 50s dinner with 50s music. Nice atmosphere

Typically the best breakfast in town for the price! Some servers are definitely better than others and you can tell most of them have had a rough go at life, but the food is hearty, fast, inexpensive, and the best cure for a hangover! The tacky decorations are charming and the tv always has some cool concert from the 70's playing.

Out of unsweetened tea. My husband is a diabetic so he could only have water. We both ordered country fried steak. Out of that. I ordered salisbury steak with mashed potatoes and salad. Could have been a Banquet tv dinner for the taste. The lettuce was rusted, some even slimy. The carrots and radishes were both clearly old. My husband ordered the chopped steak with mushrooms and onions. Mushrooms were canned and heated in the microwave. No apologies from the staff. We won't be back.
